Promoting Offerwall in Unity Ads

Promoting OW in Unity Ads is a new way to re-engage players with the offerwall. Tapjoy will bid into the video (rewarded and interstitial) and display auctions of apps that have our OW integrated. If Tapjoy wins, we will show an offer that leads to the offerwall so users can engage in OW offers. If you are interested, please reach out to your account manager for more information on how to get this feature enabled on your games.

Requirements

Currently, this feature is android only, with support for iOS coming soon.

SDK Minimum Requirements

  • UAds SDK 4.15.0
  • Tapjoy SDK 14+

UnityAds Adapter Minimum Requirements

  • LevelPlay 4.3.60
    Or
  • Max Unity Ads Adapter 4.15.0.0

Dashboard Setup

The Tapjoy dashboard needs to be setup to contain a placement called “#OW-UAds-Launch”. Within this placement, there will need to be an offerwall M2E content card that will be set up to show the message that the publisher would like shown to users for this promotion.

It’s important that you select “Auto (after 5 seconds)” in the transition option of the content card.

Publishers can also improve the performance of this promotion by providing a bonus through the user of a targeted currency sale on this content card. Additionally, you can run this promotion during an active currency sale to help drive even more users during the sale period.

Limitations

There are currently a few limitations on being part of this promotion.

  • Only auctions that are running UnityAd’s Bold SDK experiment are eligible
  • Tapjoy is currently paying for these bids via a flat bid based on eCPM that we set for UAds per app determined by the revenue earned in OW for that app
  • US traffic only
  • There is a frequency cap on auctions that offerwall is participating in that is currently being tested
  • Tapjoy SDK needs to be initialized before the video auction begins in order to be eligible for this promotion
